Udyam Registration Portal: Different Process & Steps

Udyam Registration Portal is the government portal for the registration of Micro, small and medium Enterprises (Udyam) to register a new MSME or to re-register already registered EM-II (Entrepreneurs Memorandum, Part-II) or UAM (Udyog Aadhar Memorandum). The government introduced a new version of Udyog Aadhar registration with effect from 1st July 2020. The new definition for MSME was launched for ease of doing business and growth of small-sized businesses in India. The eligible enterprises must obtain registration under Udyam to avail of the benefits under various schemes provided by the government of India. The main feature includes udyam registration zero cost and there are no charges for the issuance of the registration certificate. The following entities are eligible to register on MSME Udyam Registration Web-Portal: All the manufacturing, service, wholesale, and retail industries that satisfy the revised MSME classification criteria of annual turnover and investment can apply for MSME registration. Thus, the eligibility for registration of an businesses varies on the annual turnover and investment of the enterprise. Registration under Udyam on a portal under the Government of India and the Government’s single window systems authorized to do MSME registration or undertake activities related to the process. All existing enterprises registered under EM-Part II (Entrepreneurs Memorandum) or UAM (Udyog Aadhar Memorandum Portal) shall have to register again on the registration portal of Udyam on or after 1st July 2020. An enterprise shall be classified as a Micro, small or medium Enterprise on the basis of the following criteria given as: Registration under Udyam requires fewer documents, personal details, details about the entrepreneur and so on. We will be discussing the udyam registration process along with other requirements in the following steps: 1. Visit the Udyam Registration Portal 2. Secondly, click on the ‘Who are not registered yet as MSME i.e., for new entrepreneurs’ option on the device. 3. Thirdly, enter the ‘Aadhar no., and ‘Name of owner’ and then click on the ‘Validate & generate OTP’ button on the device. 4. OTP will be received on the owner’s phone i.e., linked with the Aadhar card. Then, you can enter the OTP received to your phone and then click on ‘Validate’ option. 5. When the Aadhar card is completely validated, then the PAN number verification tab will appear. You have to enter the ‘Type of organization’, and ‘PAN no.’ and then click on the ‘Validate’ option. 6. The next step is to enter the details such as the Name of the enterprise, Address of the enterprise on the Udyam Registration Portal, mobile number, bank details, the NIC code for Udyam registration, activity performed, and the number of persons employed. 7. The next step of the process is to enter the details of investment in plant and machinery, and then select the declaration, and click on the ‘Submit and Get final OTP’ option on your device. 8. The last step of the process is to enter the OTP received and then submit the form. The registration of Udyam is also known as Udyam Aadhar Registration. The Udyam certificate is received on the registered e-mail ID of the applicant. However, Entrepreneurs can make the download by following the given steps: Step 1: Visit the Udyam registration portal Step 2: Click on the ‘Print/verify’ button shown on the computer screen and then select the ‘Print certificate’ button. Step 3: Enter the ‘Registration No. of Udyam’ Step 4: You can also select the option of OTP from the phone no./e-mail ID for getting the OTP. Step 5: Next, you can now click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button. Step 6: Next, you must enter the OTP received on the e-mail ID /phone no. that are registered and after that click on the ‘Validate OTP and login’ on the device. Step 7: After login, download the registration certificate from Udyam Registration Portal. You can also make an udyam registration print with consideration of the given steps as follows: Step 1: Visit the government website of Udyam Step 2: Secondly, click on the ‘Print/verify’ button and select the option displaying ‘udyam print certificate’ in order to print the certificate. Step 3: Just enter the ‘Registration no. of Udyam’ from the certificate. Step 4: From the Mobile number or email ID option, you can choose anyone for receiving OTP. Step 5: Click ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ Step 6: The next step is to enter the OTP received and then click on the ‘Validate OTP & login’ option given on the Udyam Registration Portal. Step 7: After you log in to the government portal, you can also get your udyam registration certificate print. When an owner has forgotten the registration no. of udyam, the owner can get the registration number by following the steps given below: Step 1: Visit the Udyam portal. Step 2: The next step is to click on the ‘Print/verify’ option and then click on the ‘Udyam Forgot /UAM No.’ option Step 3: Choose the registration option, Choose the OTP option, enter the mobile no/email ID and click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button. Step 4: Enter the OTP sent to your registered phone number/e-mail ID on Udyam Registration Portal and click on ‘Validate OTP and Login’. Step 5: The final step is after validation of the OTP, the registration number of udyam will be sent to the mobile number/email. Udyam verification is performed to verify if the person is an authorized member of Udyam or not. This process of Udyam verification is given below: - Step 1: Visit the www.Udyamregistration.gov.in website Step 2: Enter your Registration number for Udyam Step 3: Enter the OTP. You will receive the OTP which is sent on your registered mobile no. linked with Aadhar. Step 4: Enter the CAPTCHA as given on the page of the Udyam Registration Portal. Step 5: Select ‘verify’ and then enter the CAPTCHA as shown on the screen with the OTP. You can also verify the registration form submitted with help of the following steps given below: Step 1: Visit the Udyam portal Step 2: The second step is to click on the option ‘Print/verify’ and then select the ‘Udyam Print certificate’ button on the screen. Step 3: Enter the ‘Registration no. of Udyam’ given on the certificate. Step 4: Choose the option for receiving the OTP from a Phone or email address. Step 5: Then, click on the option of ‘Validate as well as Generate OTP’ on the Udyam Registration Portal. Step 6: Enter the OTP sent to your phone /email address and click on the ‘Validate OTP and login’ button Step 7: You can view the udyam registration status and download Udyam Registration Certificate. Registration under Udyam is compulsory to gain the benefits from government programs launched by the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
