MCA21 Check Company Mission Mode Project (MCA21) is an e-governance initiative of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It is one of the 31 mission mode projects of the National e-Governance scheme. 

The Companies Act 2013, the Companies Act 1956, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code of 2016, and the Limited Liability Partnership Act of 2008 are all laws that fall under the purview of India's Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

It is primarily responsible for regulating Indian enterprises in the industrial and service sectors. The ministry is mainly run by civil servants of the ICLS cadre. These officers are selected through Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The current minister is Nirmala Sitharaman.

Company Master Data & Index of Charges

The facility to view the master details of any company/LLP registered with the Registrar of Companies has been made available to the general public. This facility can be accessed by clicking on "View Company Master Data".

A similar facility has also been made available to companies/LLPs in respect of 'fee registration'. To view details of signatories of any company/LLP by clicking on 'View Index of Charges. 'View Signature Details'.

How To Check Company Name Availability In India?

After entering your business name, click on 'Search'. There are three ways to view information on the screen,

  • The First Scenario Is An Example

If you get less than three results, a 'high probability message will be displayed, indicating that the government has a high chance of approving your company name.

  • In The Second Case

This means that your business name has a 50% chance of being approved if the displayed message is of medium probability.'

  • In The Third Instance

A 'Low Probability' message will be displayed if there are more than eight results. The company has a very right chance of being accepted here. If possible, you should go with a different name.
